This Rhododendron is named Elizabeth. Not completely in full bloom yet, lots of fat buds ready to burst.
Hostas are another passion of mine. I have, at last count , 9 varieties. The slugs and snails, on the whole leave, them alone in this garden.
2 varieties making good growth.
I said before I have very few double flowers in the garden. I like to encourage bees and insects so try to plant flowers for nectar but I was given this primrose and it has spread.
No severe frosts this year so Red Robin is putting on a colourful display
The Quince is in full bloom. I cut it hard back as it was outgrowing its space. Does produce yellow fruit which are very hard. I keep them in a bowl as they smell lovely.
Waiting for the seed to pop. Will grow this on. May not come true but worth a try.
Promise of things to come. Greenhouse peaches. A long way to go before they are ready to eat. They are delicious.
Another promise of things to come. Found this nest when I was cutting back some ivy. I had my camera in my pocket, I am learning to take it with me whenever I go into the garden. An amazing colour. The blackbird came back when I moved away. I stood still for a while and it didnt fly off again so fingers crossed all is well.
