The Sea
Decided to send another piece to the Art-Journal,
-Journey challenge.
This is from my 21cm+ 15cm journal and is across 2 pages.
I used Golden Fluid Acrylics, my favourite paint, and Sharpie pens, fine point.
After painting the background I put a sheet of plastic on top. When paint is dry and plastic is removed it lifts some of the colour.
I thought this gave a sea effect.
Drew the fish, coloured them in then cut out and glued to background.
I hope you like it

Clever fishes with all their patterned colours, their long tails and the bubbles. The sea is very clever and I like all the bouncing sea balls. It's a super painting, so different from your textile work. Maybe we'll see more of your paintings? Thanks for joining in with AJJ a second time.
ReplyDeleteLove what you have made MO, a very pretty and cheerful spread. Thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey, Valerie

Love your peek into the deep deep under the sea where the beautiful fish swim.
ReplyDeleteLove your colorful fish. And I really like your background. It has so much texture and does look very water like. Thanks for sharing instructions how you made it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful underwater world you've created with those colorful and magical fish!
ReplyDeleteNice journal spread ~ I love all the color and interest in the watery background, and the fanciful-tailed fish, too!
